He quickly regained his strength, his strength of his leg through swimming and was elected as President in November 1932. Unfortunately, the Great Depression hit where millions were unemployed and banks were closed. He solved the problem by proposing programs by Congress to recover business, agricultures, unemployed, and reforms.
